Many, many thanks to all who took part and attended our fifth exhibition and event which took place on the 26 Oct.

The speakers at our Symposium this year were acclaimed artist, illustrator and RCA tutor Anne Howeson, representatives from Biografiktion, a young German illustration collective (who we met at Angouleme last year) and comics expert, journalist and curator Paul Gravett. The artists discussed their practice , their enthusiasms, personal perspectives and their work. Paul Gravett (whose new book,1001 Comics You Must Read Before You Die, is out now) provided insight into the current illustration and graphic novel scene. The inimitable Brian Love introduced the speakers, co-ordinated the Awards presentation with our generous sponsor David Elyan and conducted a discussion/Q&A at the end of the day.

The event took place at the Parabola Arts Centre in Cheltenham,a large listed Regency villa with a new 328 seat architect designed theatre, exhibition space and many other facilities for the arts, map here
